OUR MINISTRIES
Mission/Outreach
All of us have been called to be a Missionary; we are called to the service of God and our fellow brothers and sisters. Our purpose is to worship God in a joyful fellowship, to impact the community with needed and caring service and to invite all people into a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ.
One of our ongoing Mission/Outreach Projects is serving the residents and citizens of Durham at Urban Ministries of Durham on every 5th Wednesday of the month.
Floral Committee
Furnishes flowers for church events, observances and special activities. As appropriate, coordinates floral arrangements, fruit baskets, and /or cards for church member and immediate family member funerals, hospital stay or home recovery due to illness. (Galatians 6:10)
Ushers Ministry
Greets, seats, and attends to the needs of the congregation. Ministers and assists in the collection of weekly tithes and offerings. Their primary mission is to make each member and visitor feel welcomed and valued, while providing comfort, compassion and order in the sanctuary.
Youth Ministry
Provides a safe haven for Youth and Young Adults to discuss and address any issues they may encounter. We offer fellowship opportunities to allow them to encourage one another. We believe in teaching them to study the Word of God and to apply it to their lives on a daily basis. We promote Christian growth through engaging worship experiences.
Men's Ministry
The purpose of the Men's Ministry is to help men reach their potential of spiritual leaders, providing ministry to others through fellowship, Bible study, prayer, discipleship classes, conferences, retreats, and special events.
Women’s Ministry
Women’s Ministry exists to connect women of all ages, and foster positive relationships. We also acknowledge and celebrate what God is doing through His women to reach others. It is our goal to create a place where women are comfortable using the gifts God has given each of us through Bible Studies, conferences, fellowship, and retreats
Kitchen Committee
Prepares and serves meals and refreshments for various church-wide functions and observances and for individual ministry events by request in an atmosphere that is consistent with our need for spiritual food, combined with brotherly fellowship.
Music Ministry
The purpose of the Music Ministry is to magnify the Lord and exhalt His name, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, to encourage believers in their walk with Christ, to lead the congregation in worship and to provide an avenue through which all individuals may share their gift and be an integral part of the worship.
