ABOUT OUR PASTOR
 

Rev. V. Wayne Wilhelm has been our pastor since November 2011.  He answered the call to the ministry in 2002 and preached his initial sermon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in November of that year under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Lafayette Maxwell.  He was ordained at Mt. Zion on September 30, 2007.



He received both a Bachelor in Theology degree and a Masters of Divinity degree from Apex School of Theology. He is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program there.



He and his wife Kelli were married in 1993.  They have four children – Nikki, Jordan, Jada and Justin and two granddaughters, Aubriyauna and Milyn.



Rev. Wilhelm patterns his life after Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understanding but in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path.”
